Kubb, king game, chieftain game or viking game is a party game that can be played by 2 to 12 players.
Compact game that is perfect for a day at the beach, in the garden or a pleasant walk in the forest.
The game consists of 1 king, which is placed in the middle of the field and 5 cubes per team.
In addition, 6 throwing sticks are used.
The four extra sticks to demarcate the pitch with.
The cubes are placed in two rows at opposite ends.
The king is placed in the middle between the two teams.
The two teams now take turns throwing their sticks and knocking over the opponents' blocks. When they are overthrown, the king must be overthrown.
The team that topples the king has won.
The game is claimed to have roots in the Middle Ages, but there is a lack of documentation for the game's existence before 1990. Kubb presumably originates from Gotland in Sweden.
