The bay rests calmly in the chair and as the same time your back is spared and your arms are free to wash or rinse the baby.
The child can lie down on his back while and an elevation between the legs ensures that the baby does not slide down.
As the child grows and being able to sit the bath chair makes it easier to wash the back of the baby.
A bath chair must, of course, always only be used under adult supervision!
